Government Duties
In light of the new constitution of the Republic of Angola, approved in February of 2010, the President of the Republic is the head of state, the chief executive and commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Angola.
The President of the Republic exercises executive power with the assistance of a vice-president, ministers of state and ministers (article 108).
