Consular Registration

Consular registration ensures that Angolan citizens receive the consular protection provided by the Diplomatic Mission, under the 1963 Vienna Convention on consular relations. It is one of the necessary requirements for national citizens to benefit from the consular services provided by that Embassy.
In order to complete the consular registration, Angolan citizens (minors included) that legally reside in Switzerland must produce the following documents:

  1. A duly filled out form.
  2. Full Copy of Birth Entry, Full Birth Certificate, Identity Card or Passport
  3. Residence Permit for Switzerland (Permis de Séjour)
  4. Proof of Residence in Switzerland
  5. Proof of employment or Certificate from the Educational Establishment
  6. Fees : CHF 10.-
N.B.: The full copy of the birth entry or the birth certificate must be duly authenticated by the Ministry of External Relations of Angola (validity of six months or less).
Important notice: All documents in a foreign language (except passport, international certificate of vaccination and proof of flight and hotel bookings) must be previously translated into Portuguese by an official translator and authenticated by the local authorities (canton or federal notary/chancellery).
